Thailand, Hong Kong, and Macau...Oh My.

Ok, here it is! I finally got the chance to put up a bunch of pictures of... Thailand, Hong Kong, and Macau. It was an awsome, awsome vacation. I really enjoyed it a lot. The best was by far Thailand. The people were soo friendly and there were soo many things to see. 5 days was not nearly long enough. But, we still managed to accomplish a lot while in Thailand. In Thailand we went to all sorts of different temples, shopping malls, and even the Zoo. Which was also very cool. Elephants are cool. Thailand was very very very hot! it was usually about 36 degrees C so that is umm..96 degrees F.......IN THE SHADE...and it even got hotter..It was insane. But I enjoyed the heat for once. Although, sense it was soo hot, I decided it would be a good idea to drink a bunch of water.....didn`t really think about the fact that the water may not be the best thing to drink in the world...but hey, I am my fathers son right?

Hong Kong was also cool, but there are sooo many people there that the air is very dirty. There was soo much smog it was rather hard to see. But the food was good, and it was neet to be in the Country with the worlds larges population.

Macau was basically a unique little Island Country on this planet. It is a Porgugese Colony that is inhabited by Chinese. So, it had a little of everything, Chinese Culture, Portugese Culture, and new and old areas. It was neat to walk around.

So, I`ll start with Thailand as that is where I went first. Temples in Thailand generally look like this, or the next picture. They are made up of small stones and lots and lots of really small pieces of Gold, glass, and precious stones. It made them shine very brightly.

This is a close up of a temple and you can see all of the small jewls and gold.

This is the another style of temple in Thailand. There were many of these temples scattered throughout the city.

This, was some famous dudes house! The thing was amazing. The inside is even nicer then the outside. Unfortunately we wern`t allowed to take pictures inside. Maybe I`ll build a home like this for my summer home..

So, Thailand is famous for ELEPHANTS!! Yup, lots and lots of Elephants. Elephants, Elephant house stuff, Elephant Jewlery, Elephant Warriors, Elephant gods.. you name it..they got it in Elephant. Anyways, Elephants are cool.

This one particularly liked me..so I stole him....and took off into the woods to go exploring...

And I found this!! OH YAH!! Indiana Jones baby!! An unexplore temple...OF DOOM!! It was great. In Thailand, there arn`t earthquakes..so 400 year old, massive temple complexes still exist.

Most of them were made out of lots and lots of tiny bricks...but this one actually had a large solid dome on it and was quite cool. From the inside, I stole the Golden Elephant of Chzckmabamfnastan...

But it trigerd the giant bolder of death, I ran as fast as I cold away from it.....I almost didn`t make it...while escaping..I lost the the Golden Elephant :(

So, not all of Thailand was Indiana Jones, and stuff. We stayed in Bangkok. A HUGE city that is spread way out. Bangkok has many many shopping areas just packed full of people, cars, and small shopping thingies. They would sell everything and anything for REALLY cheap. You could buy movies that havn`t even come out yet, MP3 Players for 20 dollars, waches, jewlry, and even Licenses and Passports. Corse all of it was fake...but dang!! soo cheap. I was thinking about buying a member of the press license, that would allow me to take pictures anywhere I wanted...but it was a little to expensive.

Then we have Hong Kong. This is a beautifull night scene of Hong Kong Harbour. At 8 o-cock they have an awsome illuminations. It was cool to watch Lazers dance around it the smog filled air (it made the lazers easer to see)

And..in the day.....

Maybe the smog isn`t all from cars, and people living in Hong Kong..maybe it is from All the people burning Incense and Chinese Temples. The Temples were a little bit more fancy then the ones you might find in Japan. It was very interesting.

While there I did the fortune thing where you shake a cup and a fortune comes out. My fortune was ok...but you also receive a symbol. Well, I received a bad symbol so, on my way out, I had to reach inside this dogs mouth and rotate the giant stone that was in his mouth....for good luck of corse...(that and it was just cool)

So, I already mentioned that the food was good right? Well, here yuh go. Yamcha. (yes, the same name as the guy on Dragonball). Yamcha basically means Eat, and Tea. So, you have lots of tea, and slowly eat lots and lots and lots of small foods while drinking tea. It takes over and hour and was ABSOLUTELY delecious!! Nikuman rocked!

This is Macau. This is the face of a building that no longer excists. Very European right? But yet, this is basically a Chinese City. Like I said...Unique.

This is Also Macau. This picture was taken from the top of a very very tall tower. In fact, you could even bungee jump from the tower. Right on! Sorry the pic isn`t very clear..but that`s the best I could do.

All in all, I had a GREAT time and would love to explore more of Asia whenever I get the chance. I would also really like to return to Thailand and send more time there. Maybe go to some surrounding countries as well. Again, if there is anything in particualar that you woudl like to look at, leave a comment and I will see if I can find a picture for yuh. Have a good one!

Two most deadly things in the world.

I have added a `two most deadly things in the world blog`. If you would like to look at it please click on the BAMF link under links. But, if you are the least bit faint of heart, please do not click on it. You have been warned. And yes....they`re real, all three of them.

In other news, I have also add Joe`s site.
As well as the Dude Comics site. This site was created by my friend Clayton and...umm..well..yah, relates to life in Homer. Just make sure you start the comics from the beginning and don`t worry if you don`t understand it..a lot of it is well.....personal ;).
I also added Mikes Comic strip as well. It`s a good look as to what goes on inside the mind of Mike.....(a work in progress.

A quick blog on the Kyoto Osaka and Nara areas.

Ok, first off! My favorite... INARI JINJA!!! Or I guess you could call it a Fox Shrine. So, what exactly is a Inari Jinja? Its a shrine dedicated to the Fox God (I think ;) and instead of having to Dogs protecting it. It has two Foxes. Also, the Torii (Gates) in fron`t of the shrine are red (or reddish orange). This particular Inari Jinja is called the Fushimi Inari Jinja and is in Kyoto. It is famous for its unbelievable amount of Torii in fron`t of it. There are at least a few thousand. Sense I absolutely love Torii, I really really love this shrine...sooo cool.

Don`t belevie me about the Torii...HORA!!! Look at this!! OH YAH!!..and this was just the beginning there were so many it made my head spin.......it was pritty funny, I saw one single guy, sitting on some scafolding painting ONE of the torii, I looked at him chuckled and said, boy, that`s gotta take a long time....he looked at me and sighed...hehehe

This is a Famous temple in Kyoto called KyoMizu Temple....(which I think is soemthing like Today and Water........?........) It is really big and has many different structures too it. The platform where all of the people are standing is a popular picture spot. From there, you can see most of Kyoto.

This is another famous shrine and I can`t think of the name of it right now... maybe meji jingu shrine....In ancase, the color green on the roof was awsome and it went really well with the red walls.

This is Nagoya-Jo (Nagoya Caslte) in....yup you guessed it..NAGOYA! The inside was basically a giant museum, and this castle is famous for its Golden Dolphins...except, that is a mistranslation....they are actually Golden Orcas...so yes, this castle is famous for it`s Golden Orcas.....yah...Golde.......ok anyways...there to two big shiny goldy things on top of the roof of the caslte.

This is Shiragawago Village. Because it is in the middle of the mountain it was locked away from the rest of the world for a very long time. As such, it still maintains many of the old ways of life and was a great place to kind of visit the past. It`s most famous attribute is the Gasho style houses. These house have about 6 foor thick thached grass/hay roofs. The way they make these houses is completely different then any other style of house. This villige was deemed a national herritage and some of the houses were as well. In fact, the house that we stayed in was deemed a National Herritage! It was awsome! (The food was the best as well!)

Ok, on to random scenery. This is ...A SHRUBBERY!!......with a little path down the middle. AND BUMBOO!!! *caugh* I mean...bamboo.

Maiko Girls at the KyoMizu temple. Unfortunately it was raining...but oh well. Oh yah, I fogot to mention....in Kyoto, if you wear a Kimono most everything was free. For example, Museums, Temples, Shrines, you name it..it`s free. So, there were a lot of Girls wearing Kimonos...ahh....yess..... *drooool* and no, you may not see thoes pictures ;p.

umm...Pritty Japaneseish stuff.... Someday.........it will be mine...oh yes....it will be mine.

My fron`t yard will be the one above (except I`ll have a big lawn as well)..and my driveway will be something like this except much wider so that all my big toys can make it through...

BaraBara. Kinda random..but here are some more pics! :)

Ok, so again, just read or look at these pictures from the bottom up..it might make a little bit more sense. Well..it MIGHT.....these pictures are a little scattered because Chung has about half of my pictures on his computer...so these pictures are of the bigging of my Japan trip and the end......so the middle is kind of missing :). In any case. I will add more when I get the chance. Also, I am a little low on time so I won't write much about these pictures now..I will later though..don't worry! :)

Electronics!!

Akihabara...electric city in Tokyo...

OMG IT`S GOING TO EAT THE NAUTILUS!! QUICK!! HIT THE ELECTROCUTION BOTTON!! ..ok ok, so this was um.....raw Ocotopus...I think...that I found for sale in the Ueno District of Tokyo if I remember correctly.

Tokyo Emperial Palace...it had cool guard guys that never moved...really, never moved..I stared at one for about 30 minutes...he didn`t budge or anything.

Me.

The famous Harajuku....sorry..no pics of Harajuku girls ....yet ;)..ehh..you have to ask me for those!

A Giant buda!! You could even go inside! This was in Kamakura near Tokyo.

And a Cool Lanter thing inside an alcove. Also in Kamakura.

Sakura...yes....SAKURA!! HOORAAYY!!!

As well as a temple in Kamakura.

Tokyo!! THE FUTURE IS NOW!!!!!! Cyber Punk FTW!! All of the red lights you see blink at random intervals so it was very cool!

An old Japanese style Kitchen that I saw inside a temple.

An Alien.....no seriously...if you know what this thing is..please tell me. We found it on the beach....

The beach in Takayama. This beach was cool because somehow the waves created perfectly circle holes in the rocks. They looked like perfect, natural hotsprings..but they wern`t very hot.

The inside of the Very old Japanese house we stayed at in Takayama.

Where the house was located...this is a very famous picture as there are a lot of ricefields with houses scattered in between them. If you get the right light, all of the rice fields reflect the sun and it looks like a bunch of mirrors. It was really pritty.

The Old house we stayed in. It rocked! This house used to be the house of a government official and could house up to ...well, I forgot but something like 30 people or so. It still had the old sliding paper doors, and the beatifull woodwork inbetween rooms.
A very BIG temple in Takayama. As well as Chies brother Hiroshi. What an awsome guy. He really showed us a good time and was very nice to us! I am very thankfull for him.

Kanazawa-Jo...or Kanazawa Castle.

A Shrine in Fukuoka. This shrine is the Daizaifu Shrine. Which is a famous area in Fukuoka. In fron`t of the shrine is a long street with lots of little stores and famous MOCHI (Well, I guess you could call it mochi..)!!! YAY!

The veiw from the Kawamotos second Home. Very beautifull. I will climb that mountain someday! And yes...in the lower left hand corner of this picture is Joes Home in Japan, Also with a great veiw!

Anyways, the trip was great and a LOT of fun! I went to soo many different places it was an absolute blast..I am thinking about trying to map it all out and use something like Power Point to present it...but that probobly won't be for a while. I will add more information on what I did later on when I have more time. If there is anything that you really want to know, or see..just lemme know..leave a comment or e-mail me and I'll see if I can explain it, add more information about it, and maybe even more pictures. So just let me know! Thanks!!
